Deeper Than We Thought: The Stench Has Reached Heaven

By Shane Idleman Published on December 17, 2022

Whether it’s Balenciaga sexualizing children and degrading every piece of moral fabric left in our society, or men dressed as women encouraging kids to place money in their G-string, our sickness is worse than Sodom and parallels the days of Noah.

Pushing Porn Goes Unpunished

If these are the things in the light, can you imagine the horrors taking place in the dark? Clearly, our stench has reached to the heights of heaven, and only a powerful move of God can awaken us from spiritual death.

As just one of many examples, the American Library Association is allowing material designed to groom children into their libraries as evidenced in a training video that shows how they collude with the LGBT movement. They must be held accountable for the porn they are pushing.

Attacking Gender is Child Abuse

As everyone knows, the innocence of our children is being attacked on many fronts. One of the biggest travesties is the attack on biological gender. Recently, the famous toy company Mattel published a book for young girls that is part of their American Girl product line. The book encourages young girls to consider puberty blockers and to seek advice from people who are not their parents. This is child abuse and should not be tolerated.

The Weapons of Their Warfare

Words can build up and tear down, comfort and convict, challenge and change. Sadly, many on the radical left are using new catchphrases to intimidate their enemies and push their agendas. As one glaring example, they are slowly redefining pedophilia with the innocuous phrase “minor-attracted.” God help us!

Here are just a few weapons of their warfare. Don’t be intimidated or retreat because of them. We cannot be shamed into silence. Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.

Doxing: This has to do with publicly providing personal information, such as your home address, to intimidate you (which should be illegal).

Cancel Culture: This is when they attempt to expose something that you did in the first grade to discredit your message 30 years later. They conveniently forget about forgiveness as they foster hate.

The cancel culture also attempts to cancel those with opposing views. In their mind, the only way to safeguard error is to remove truth.

Gaslighting: This is a psychological manipulation tactic that creates confusion, such as when they immediately blame you for something. Their motto is guilty-until-proven-innocent. The name-callers love to bear false witness and sow discord, something God hates (Prov. 6:16-19).

Gaslighters go crickets on Jeffrey Epstein and Hunter Biden, but lash out at the coach who dares to pray at a football game.

Wokeness: The initial point of being woke was to “wake up” to racial discrimination and inequality, but it has morphed into discrediting anyone who makes someone feel uncomfortable, as in, “How dare you say that men can’t become pregnant!” Not only has America lost her moral compass, she has also lost her mind!

Shaming: This makes you feel guilty for loving America, God, and your family. Guilt by association is a huge component of this strategy: If you’re a Republican you’re automatically branded a white supremacist. If you define sexuality according to the Bible, you’re a homophobe.

Environmental Thug: This label is an ever-growing term that’s used if you challenge the current global narrative, but we dare not challenge them. For example, Pete Buttigieg recently used taxpayer-funded private jets amid his calls to cut emissions. The hypocrisy is eye-opening. Their fear of dying is driven by hate toward anyone who opposes them.

Is God Resisting Us?

Since words carry weight, we too must engage in the war of words, but not in the way you may think. We cannot push anger back with more anger. (Watch a recent sermon on anger here.)

As I said before, the key to uniting and healing our nation is found in a beautiful and powerful word. This word is not popular, but it is powerful. This word can restore marriages, rebuild broken homes, and lead people to redemption, that word is humility.

Could God be allowing America to plummet because of pride? ABSOLUTELY! We need first to be broken and humble and then allow God to use us in profound and powerful ways.

As For Me and My House

Humility puts God on our side: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). How are you doing in this area? We must repent of either apathy or arrogance and then re-engage in the battle.

Yes, we are in very deep water, but God can pull us out, or sustain us through the spiritual tsunami. Either way, He is our only hope.

Are you willing to do what it takes to protect your family and re-align your heart with God’s? Drawing a line in the sand can be out of step with the mainstream, but, like Joshua, we too must say, “Choose this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord” (Josh. 24:15).
