Childhood Abuse Made Her a Man-Hating Lesbian. Christ Healed Her and Set Her Free
This week on the Dr. J Show: Christie May Jesse endured an abusive childhood, including molestation at a young age by a much older boy. That drove her to reject her femininity and eventually embrace a lesbian lifestyle, including the lie that she had been “born that way.”
As a star athlete on Stanford University’s rowing team, Christie attended a Christian coach’s Bible study for female athletes. Upon arrival, someone said, “Welcome! Are you a man hater like the rest of us?” At least 80% of the women in the group had been sexually abused, Christie said. “It became apparent I, too, was carrying a tremendous amount of scarring and trauma.”

Find out how Christie discovered her true self, healed the scars of the past, and entered a happy marriage (going on 18 years). She now works with Desert Stream Ministries to help others find freedom from sexual and relational brokenness, and teaches biblical sexuality to high school students and their parents.
