Yogi Berra once said, “I never blame myself when I’m not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn’t my fault that I’m not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?”

I’m pretty sure Yogi was joking, but Joe Biden is not joking as he blames not only the bat, but the ball, the fans, and the beer vendors for his disastrous performance. “Maybe, they don’t have mirrors in the White House,” said Representative Steve Scalise.

Of course, this tactic goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden, where Adam diverted all the blame of disobeying God to “the woman whom you provided.” (Genesis 3:12)

Here are some of Biden’s many scapegoats for the problems in our country:

Oil Companies for Record High Gas Prices

On the campaign trail, Biden promised, “I’m going to shut down the fossil fuel industry.” And just hours after being sworn-in, he canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline and halted new drilling on federal lands and waters.

Now, he’s blaming the oil companies for producing less oil as the reason for record high gas prices. That’s like a kid throwing a temper tantrum and then blaming it on the fact that his parents spanked him afterwards.

On June 14th, Biden sent a letter to seven CEOs of oil companies, compelling them to “take immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel, and other refined product.” He went on to say in the letter, “At a time of war — historically high refinery profit margins being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable.”

First of all, Mr. President, the United States is not at war. Secondly, they are not making high profit margins. Thirdly, even if they were, they would be free to do so at a time when demand is much greater than supply, so they have less to sell. If a kid in a lemonade stand is about to run out of lemons with a long line of customers, he might hike the price.

Trump, Afghan Leaders and Intel for Afghanistan Debacle

In late 2020, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo brokered a conditions-based deal with the Taliban in which the U.S. would withdraw from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021. But it included a provision that the U.S. could return if they violated the agreement. Had Trump stayed in office, the Taliban would have honored the agreement — not because they were nice guys, but because they feared Trump.

When Biden took office, the Taliban feared him about as much as they would fear Barney Fife. Between May and August of 2021, they swept through the entire country of Afghanistan while we were focused on “white rage” and CRT.

Now, Biden blames Trump’s May 1 deadline, even though he had no obligation to keep that timeline with the Taliban’s many violations.

In a speech at the White House, he also blamed the Afghan leaders for the disastrous pullout.

Finally, Biden blamed U.S. intelligence, saying it didn’t show the Taliban were capable of seizing Afghanistan. That was a lie, say senior intelligence officials. One told the Washington Examiner, “We have noted the troubling trend lines in Afghanistan for some time, with the Taliban at its strongest, militarily, since 2001. Strategically, a rapid Taliban takeover was always a possibility.”

Trump for COVID Deaths

On the campaign trail, Biden blamed Trump for all COVID deaths. He said in a town hall, “If the president had done his job … from the beginning, all the people would still be alive … All the people. I’m not making this up. Just look at the data.”

To its credit, even the liberal WaPo pushed back on those comments writing, “Actually, Biden is making this up. There is no data to support this.”

COVID deaths under Biden’s administration have surpassed the number under Trump’s, yet he’s never apologized. After taking office, he even blamed Trump for the deaths on his watch. He told the AP, “The failure of the last administration to act on COVID had a profound impact on the number of people who got COVID and the number of people who died.”

COVID, Putin and Republicans for Inflation

Biden said,

I want us to be crystal clear about the problem. There are two leading causes of inflation … The first cause of inflation is a once-in-a-century pandemic … And this year we have a second cause, Mr. Putin’s war in Ukraine.

The COVID outbreak began in the U.S. in late February of 2020, but the average inflation rate for those last 10 months of Trump’s term was 1%.

And how many times have you heard Biden say, “Putin’s Price Hikes”? He keeps throwing it against the wall, hoping it will stick. Inflation was already at a 40-year high of 7.5% when Putin invaded Ukraine. The chicken or the egg? The chicken. (Genesis 1:20–23) Price hikes or Putin? Price hikes.

He has also blamed Republicans in Congress for inflation. He recently said in Philadelphia, “Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to stop my plans to bring down costs on ordinary families.”

And his plan? Of course, to throw more money at the inflation.

Americans’ Mental Health for His Low Poll Numbers

Addressing his unpopularity, Biden said, “People are really, really down … Their need for mental health in America has skyrocketed because people have seen everything upset.”

Let me interpret: The President is not performing poorly. We just think he is because we’re crazy.

Central America for the Immigration Crisis

Biden sent Vice President Kamala Harris down to Mexico to tell them, “I want to be very clear that the problem at the border in large part, if not entirely, stems from the problems in these countries (El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras).”

Yeah, right. The Biden administration took the most secure border in our history — just weeks from having a finished wall — and completely opened the border to the masses from nearly 200 countries. And it’s the fault of these Central American countries?

Texas School Shooting on Gun Lobby

Biden blamed the Uvalde school shooting on “the gun lobby.”

Nonsense. Israel has had only a half-dozen attacks on their schools since 1974. They put a system in place that includes armed guards, 50-meter spotters, high steel fences, metal detectors, practice drills and a lot more. The only remedy to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. (I should know … I used to watch Gunsmoke.)

Tripping 3 Times on Air Force 1 Was the Tricky Steps’ Fault

Tricky steps? Let’s go through the drill: Lift right foot up on first step, lift left foot up on second step, then repeat until reaching the top of the stairs. Turn-around and wave, and you’re done. I’m not sure how that could be so “tricky.” Maybe they had just flown the aircraft over the Bermuda Triangle, and it still had an inordinate amount of gravity lingering about.

Galatians 6:5 (AMP) says, “For every person will have to bear [with patience] his own burden [of faults and shortcomings for which he alone is responsible].”
