Baltimore Mayor: We Gave Protestors Space ‘To Destroy’

Over the weekend, Baltimore broke out into riots over the death of Freddie Gray, who died of spinal injuries after being arrested. Windows were smashed as the rule of law went unheeded outside. Meanwhile, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake spoke of protecting the first amendment rights of protesters, and added, “We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well.” Another wave of rioting broke out Monday in the wake of Gray’s funeral.
