Lauren Homer is a managing partner at the Homer International Law Group, PLLC, with expertise in helping religious organizations and other nonprofits navigate international law. She previously was a senior fellow at the Whitney Harris Institute for Global Legal Studies at Washington University Law School, St. Louis, and a fellow of the International Academy for Freedom of Religion and Belief. Homer has been involved in the introduction of legal entity status for nonprofits in the former Soviet Union, China, and other countries. Her expertise includes U.S. and international nonprofit corporation law, insurance coverage disputes, adoption law, contracts, and employment issues. She has also worked for Wilmer Hale (formerly Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering) and Davis Polk & Wardwell; Homer was a partner at Anderson Kill and the Stolar Partnership and on counsel at Gammon & Grange, PC. She is a graduate of Duke University and Columbia Law School.
