Guillermo Gonzalez received his Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1993. He has held positions at The University of Texas at Austin, Iowa State University, Grove City College, and Ball State University. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed research papers on topics related to astrobiology and quantitative stellar spectroscopy. Dr. Gonzalez is co-author of the second edition of Observational Astronomy, a widely used undergraduate textbook. He is also co-author, with Jay W. Richards, of The Privileged Planet: How our Place in the Cosmos is Designed for Discovery.
