Our children are one of the most valued parts of our lives. As parents, we want to make sure that our children are loved, cared for and protected. We would do everything in our power to make sure that our children have everything they need in life. They are God’s gift to us, and we cherish every moment that we can spend with them. Jesus says that it is better for someone to be tied to a millstone and be cast in the sea rather than hurt a child (Luke 17:2).

The Gay Men’s Chorus’s Disrespect

A video was circulated by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus entitled, “A Message from the Gay Community.” This video boldly declares that the gay community will convert our children. While it seems to be a parody in the song of the heterosexual community’s discrimination towards the gay community, it is done with disrespect to us as parents, our children and the Christian community. Its overtones are threatening and intimidating.

A Master Deceiver

This video has received more than 600,000 views so far. Is this just for fun or is it the wave of the future? We must clearly understand that the enemy has no intention to be soft and passive in his attack. The Bible describes the devil as a roaring lion seeking victims whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8). He is a master deceiver and knows how to create suggestive thoughts to make them appeal to us, just like he did to Eve in the garden of Eden.

Sexual immorality is not any different than the act of disobedience in the garden. Satan wants us to treat sex loosely and with no value. He doesn’t want us to see it as a gift of God to a married couple. He glamorizes sexual acts and pressures our children to engage in sexual immorality as young as possible. If he can steer the heart away from God, he will gain the soul.

Sex Ed in Kindergarten?

Look at how young sex is being presented to our children. An article in the Washington Examiner shows how Illinois is pushing a bill for sex ed to start in Kindergarten. We can be certain they are not promoting marriage and an undefiled marriage bed. Their goal is to teach our children that same-sex relationships are acceptable and encouraged. This, in turn, propels our children to be confused about their gender and presents delusional genders for them to explore. Sex ed will include the promotion of masturbation and sexual immorality on all levels. They will learn all of this without even yet knowing how to spell their name.

They are After Our Children

Parents and spiritual leaders, be aware that a real message is absolutely being spoken. They are after our children, and they will camouflage their intentions with flamboyant colors and humorous characters that appeal to our children. They will reel them into their agendas so that our children will never look at this lewd and lustful lifestyle as wrong or immoral. They will view it as acceptable and look at us parents as outdated and old-fashioned. Our youth will begin to say that our pastors and spiritual leaders are out of touch and antiquated. The youth will see no value in marriage or sexual purity. They will adapt to the world and be drawn into alternate lifestyles. This is the goal no matter how they dress it up or make it look sweet and nice. Their goal is to overcome our children.

A War to Save Our Children

Make no mistake, we are in a war to save our children. This video is just one of many examples of the fight we continue to be engaged in to protect the minds of the pure and innocent. The enemy is relentless and will use anyone or anything to appeal to our children. We must be aware that the agenda to demoralize and desensitize our children is in the school curriculum and the books they read. It is in the toys they play with and the games they are consumed by. The enemy has planted seeds all around places and things to which our children are drawn.

It’s up to us parents to be the guide and support to our children. We must take a stand to help our children understand what is going on in the world around them. We can’t leave guidance to the church. In so many instances, the church has been tainted as well. We must be vigilant and aware of what our children are involved with and the things that they are giving their time and attention to. We must cover our children with prayer and teach them real living through the Word of God. We are the light they need in this dark world. The enemy will come for them, just like he does for us. We must know that we have the power to overcome every dart he throws at us. 

Fight to keep our children grounded in God.
