4 Ways an Outspoken American Muslim Frames the Debate on Terrorism
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, an Arizona physician and prominent voice for Muslims who reject terrorism in the name of Islam, says he is hopeful because Americans are becoming knowledgeable about the radical Islamists who pose the true threat around the world.
Jasser, founder and president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, sat down with me for an on-camera interview Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC.
“I think Americans will eventually get this right,” he said, “and not only pick candidates but pick policies that are smart and head us in the right direction to work with Muslims who believe in freedom and [are] courageous enough to confront Muslims that are advancing theocracy, autocracy, and threats to our way of life.”
When I asked how he would frame the debate about radical Islam for Americans, Jasser counted off four key elements. Watch to see what he means.
